Telephony Communication Technologies has embarked on its metaverse journey, as it leverages Web 3.0 technologies to bring merchants even closer to consumers.
The Dubai-based communication services and solutions provider has announced the soft launch of its metaverse arm ‘TCTx’ on 28 June in tandem with the birthday of business magnate Elon Musk, who the company describes as “the biggest ambassador of decentralised technology.”
This will then be followed by an official launch event on 15 July; with the date also celebrating the birthday of UAE leader Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
After securing the initial approval from the UAE government’s Dubai Digital, TCTx is hoping to create its version of a sustainable smart city, that on paper, will provide everything a business enterprise could desire to operate within a virtual world effectively.
The company has formed partnerships with a variety of Web 3.0-focussed individuals and entities to build a portfolio of services for its new smart city, including homes, offices, restaurants, supermarkets, hospitals, retail outlets, theatres and event spaces.
“We’re excited to start our journey and bring our Telephony business to a new level in the metaverse,” comments Shefiq Abdulla, chief of avatars at TCTx.
“We want to contribute to building Dubai as the most significant digital economy in the world. We want Dubai and UAE to be the Silicon Valley of MENA.”
As one of the first metaverse companies to emerge from Dubai, TCTx wants to create a sustainable socio-economic digital framework for communities to ensure a secured transition to Web 3.0 and the metaverse, setting out to construct a digital twin of the world.
Web 3.0 technologies are still largely unknown territory to even most tech companies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), which is the opportunity that TCTx is hoping to capitalise upon.
The parent company was one of the early adopters of Web 3.0 technologies in MENA, offering solutions in blockchain, fintech and managed services to allow its customer base to improve efficiency and scale.
